Yung Chi started learning dance at a young age. She has received ballet training under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Vocational Graded syllabus, and is also certified in Chinese dance under Beijing Dance Academy’s School of Dance Grading Examination and Education. Her passion and interest in dance led her to further her dance education at School of the Arts (SOTA), where she majored in ballet and contemporary dance. Her education at SOTA offered her exposure to several dance-related fields of knowledge, as well as a diversity of dance genres.
Since Yung Chi’s graduation from SOTA in 2013, she has taught and choreographed for children between the ages of 5 – 15. Under the Global Perspectives Programme, she travelled to Thailand, where she worked around various language and cultural barriers to successfully choreograph a dance for the local children. She was also invited to choreograph a dance item for a Christmas performance in Taiwan.
With her dance knowledge and diverse experience working with children, Yung Chi hopes to create an open and nurturing learning environment for her students.
