8 yrs with equivalent level in Ballet
Duration: 1hr 15 minutes

Increasing focus of Ballet class will be placed on building up the Ballet technique of the children.

Besides learning the RAD exam syllabus, students will learn the full set of barre exercises (with both hands and one hand holding the barre). Centre work will be based on steps learnt at the barre – Plié, Tendu, Grand Battement, with emphasis on dance quality and performance skills. Students will learn Pirouettes (turns) and more complex jumps with changes in Ballet positions like Echappé, Soubresauts, Jeté and Grand allegro.
Students are to perform 2 solos for the exam.

From Grade 2 onwards, students are required to attend two classes weekly.
